Samcheonpo Marina is located in Sacheon, Gyeongsangnam-do, at the center of Hallyeohaesang National Park, and has beautiful marine conditions where visitors can fully enjoy the broad blue sea. It is well suited for a variety of marine sports, including scuba diving, water skiing, jet skiing, and canoeing, and visitors can also experience famous nearby attractions such as Samcheonpo canola flowers, Samcheonpo Bridge, and Sarangdo Island.
Influenced by both continental and maritime climates, the area has cool summers and mild winters. With an average temperature of 13.4°C, it is not cold even in winter and is relatively cool in summer. Precipitation is 1,400 mm, similar to the annual average for the southern region, and rainfall is concentrated from May to July.
In Daebang Channel south of Samcheonpo Marina Port, flood and ebb currents are strong at 4.0 kn and 4.2 kn respectively. Near Jinju Bay to the southwest, flood and ebb currents are about 1.1 kn and 0.8 kn respectively.
