蔚珍地區東臨大海，西側太白山脈以陡坡面向東海，具南部東岸型地形特徵。受東韓海流（暖流）影響，整體氣候溫和、寒暑差異較小；降水量較內陸地區少，但受東北氣流影響，常發生地形性降雨。年平均氣溫12.6℃、年平均降水量1,119.0㎜、平均風速3.8m/s。夏季（6~8月）平年平均氣溫21.9℃、降水量501.4㎜、平均風速4.0m/s，受鄂霍次克海高氣壓影響，寒冷潮濕的東風系氣流流入，天氣較涼爽。
